CSI:NY - my speculations about DL spoiler from Kristin at E!Online

In cased you missed it in the title, this post contains spoilers for Season 5 of CSI:NY. So, you've been warned. I'll put it behind a cut just to be nice. :P

OK, this is what was asked and the answer:

Christina: All this "Rikki is coming back to CSI: NY" talk is very nerve-racking to Danny/Lindsay fans. Can you dig up any hopeful news for us? Or just make some up!
OK, I can tell you that a show insider told me, "Danny and Lindsay's relationship will continue stronger than ever with a little bump along the way." And I will let you all decode that phrasing for yourselves, especially in light of the Rikki pregnancy talk.

Let me break it down and start off with this: Danny and Lindsay's relationship will continue stronger than ever.

I looked the word 'relationship' up in the dictionary and this is what I got:
                                   

1.	a connection, association, or involvement.

2.	connection between persons by blood or marriage.

3.	an emotional or other connection between people: the relationship between teachers and students.

4.	a sexual involvement; affair.

Based on all the other numerous spoilers we've gotten, I'm guessing that #4 is probably OUT. My guess is #3.

Next we have this: with a little bump along the way.

We all know what the term 'bump' probably means but when put together I'm doubting that DL will be together at all. I'm thinking that sometime before Rikki ever shows up, Danny and Lindsay are going to decide to become friends since Lindsay has been attempting to distance herself from Danny (she's proven that). I think they're gonna mutually agree to be friends and therefore their 'relationship', AS FRIENDS, will continue to grow stronger but only as friends. The bump is probably Rikki being pregnant with Danny's baby.

So now that I've bored you with the long version, here's my short version all put together.

Danny and Lindsay mutually decide to become or stay just friends since their mix up of Lindsay thinking they were a couple to Danny thinking they were just friends who had some fun thrown in and therefore, their relationship as friends will continue to grow stronger and the little bump will be Lindsay finding out the Rikki is pregnant with Danny's baby along with finding out (or figuring out) exactly when Danny knocked Rikki up. Lindsay's gonna realize that Danny was going to Rikki for comfort, not her.

Also the bump could just be that they decide to remain friends and that friendship gets stronger and the 'bump' is Lindsay finding out about Danny going to Rikki and/or sleeping with her and there is no Mini Messer in the works for Danny and Rikki.

*shrug*
That's just my speculations....anything could happen.

Honestly, I'll be glad if I don't see any more angst about Danny and Lindsay 'will they or won't they still be in wuv?!' Please. My poor heart can't take much more of that batshittery.

It definitely makes sense in combo with the other spoilers. It also means Kristen can get away with saying she never made anything up and escape from any flaming/trolling from you-know-whos. *lol*

Very possible indeed. The thing is, Danny never bothered telling Lindsay anything months after he slept with Rikki. So, what would prompt him to do it only so long afterwards? I'm thinking a baby will do the job. Hahahahah!

I don't think he'd tell Lindsay. I was thinking that maybe she found out some other way or maybe she saw Danny and Rikki together but yes, a baby makes much more sense. He can't hide the fact that he slept with Rikki if there's a mini Messer on the way!

Hmmm ... ya know, I'm hoping what you said will happen on the show. >:) Yeah, now that I think about it, if he never bothered telling Lindsay about him sleeping with Rikki, what are the chances of him telling her something as big a news as him becoming a dad with another woman?

Very possible too. Heh, if Danny and Lindsay aren't even talking at this point, it makes a lot of sense she'd hear it from someone else, actually.

I'd love for her to hear it from somebody else. She didn't bother to talk to Danny and let him know she was going back to MOOtana (the card was lame), so why would he even want to tell her unless he was bragging about it.
