These shows don't have enough platonic love in them - especially between the women. We see a few hints that the guys are friendly with each other (and in the case of Danny, there are instances that show that Flack and Mac in particular obviously 'love' him in a non-romantic way), but we really don't see the women chat very much or really support each other. It's a shame. With a show like Criminal Minds, I love to see the way the team members show that they care for each other. Reid and Morgan can have a brief scene to bond about bullies in high school, Morgan and Emily can connect over literature, you really feel everyone's fear when someone is in danger - none of that is sacrificed in favor of cheap, I-can-get-that-anywhere romance. CM isn't afraid to show platonic love and affection - and I think it's sad that the show airing right after it so often trades friendship and adopted-family moments for cliche, badly-developed romantic moments.
