Crazy person is at it again. I must rant!!!!
I am ranting about the following that was posted in an LJ account and was directed to myself and Faylinn. It's the same person I've bitched about before and here I am bitching about her again. It's nice to be able to let off a little steam on here.
Of course I must respond to that so, here it is:
Also, I would like to add that I specifically mention Danny/Lindsay smut but only because I do not see Lindsay as a slut at all (still on the fence about my feelings for Lindsay until all this secret past shit is totally revealed). I do stand by my opinions about the fictions though.
END OF RANT...I feel better now.
I went and deleted all of my photos from Photobucket, and all of emmyjean's as well. "We" only used that site to upload pics for TalkCSI, and since we aren't going back there we don't need those photos anymore. I have them all on my hard drive and except for my portraits and such, the bulk of the pics can be found on various galleries on the Net.
I think by now most of the people at Talk have figured out that "lyne" and "Hidinginmyeyes" were the same person. After I got basically run out of there due to the hostility I faced because of my differing opinions on Danny/Flack, I went back in with a new ID. Well, I am a Gemini, so there are usually at least two of me. So yes, Faylinn and 1CSIMfan, you were right. It was me all the time. At least I didn't fake my own death like I read that someone there did. I prefer to think of it as I went into witness protection and assumed a new identity to protect myself from D/F slashers who would have beaten me to death with dildos and pelted me with condoms and tubes of lube. In a moment of insanity I allowed myself to be sucked into that whole scene, mostly because I didn't know what I was getting into. Once I did, I ran like all the demons of hell were chasing me.
On the subject of slash: I have no problem with homosexuality. I support gay marriage. And I've said this all before, so why am I repeating it now? Because accusing someone of being homophobic seems to be the definitive response any time anyone asks the slash fans what the deal is. They can't seem to tell you why they prefer it over a het pairing; they just turn it on you and ask you what *your* problem is. What really killed it for me was when I started reading stories and realized that for the most part slash is merely a vehicle to peddle smut and pornography. That was why I was ridiculed on Talk. I saw a romantic relationship between Danny and Flack, and I wasn't really into the sexual aspect of it. And it was like I had sprouted a second head or something. "What? Slash without smut? What planet are YOU from!!!"
I tried to write an actual story. I thought my "Danny and Don buy a house" story was actually pretty good, but I doubt anyone even read it because there was no smut. I abandoned the story and deleted it from FanFiction.net. I deleted all my stories except for the Angie and Don story and a one-shot where Danny and Don sleep together but it's not slashy.
Homosexuality is fine. Pornography is not. And I don't want to be a contributor to it. So no more slash for me. Simple as that. My Danny and Don are very close friends, but that's it. Danny's in love with Lindsay and my Don has found the love of his life in an ex-con named Angie Watson. More proof, in fan fiction anyway, that unlikely pairings can occur.
I was thinking about starting an Eddie Cahill forum. One really just for him, and one that would be suitable for his younger fans, which means no smut. I apparently sprouted a THIRD head when I proposed that idea. A clean Eddie forum? Say whaaat? Like it's a cosmic impossibility, and that anyone who would dare to suggest such a thing should be beaten to death with the dildos I mentioned earlier. If these women had under-age daughters, would they truly want them exposed to the bulk of D/F slash? REALLY? Come on. Faylinn said something that I'm not clear on but basically sounded like "good luck getting any members", saying that there was nothing on two Eddie threads on Talk and whatever on her site and I'm like say what? Oh, is that because for the past month on Talk I've almost single-handedly kept the Eddie threads from dropping to the second page? Which I guess means that I amount to nothing. Well, guess what? I'm tired of dancing around on tiptoes trying not to offend you, Faylinn. I'm old enough to be your grandmother. You call yourself an adult. I haven't seen much evidence of it so far. I'm trying to see the bigger picture, think about someone else besides myself. I think about my nine-year-old niece turning teen in a few short years and falling in love with some TV star. And her going to the internet for info on him and what does she see? Smut? Pornography? Not if I can help it. If I can create a place where girls like her can go and worship Eddie in a clean, safe environment, what the FUCK is wrong with that!!! They may find the smut somewhere else eventually but at least I have the satisfaction of knowing that they didn't get it from me.
Now I have my fangirl lust for Eddie and Flack, and I'll be the first to admit it. I've said before that my love for Eddie is a combination of fangirl lust and motherly adoration. I was 23 years old when he was born, but he is still a grown man and a very attractive one at that. But I try to keep anything smutty in the privacy of my own mind. Granted, I wrote a sex scene in my Angie and Don story, and I wrote it from both of their viewpoints (and that was fun!) but I wrote it tastefully. It's on Fanfiction.net and it's appropriately rated for adult content. I could be wrong but I haven't seen any warnings on Talk concerning content that may be inappropriate for teens and children, but there have been avatars and banners that suggest Danny and Don engaging in sex complete with captions, and if it's offensive to me, what would a 13-year old think?
So maybe I'm just an old prude, but if I am, at least I am a prude who is trying to see the bigger picture and not contribute any more ugliness to a world that has way too much of it to begin with. That's just me. No more apologies. Take it or leave it.ok

I suspected hidinginmyeyes was lyne all along. You see, hiding mentioned fanfics in one of her posts. I pm'd her and asked about them. She was stupid enough to link me to lyne's (hiding's) ff.net page which in turn had a link to a LiveJournal account (ucantbesirius), which turned out to be lyne's (hiding's) LJ. I'm sorry but that was just the stupidest thing she could have done. Why delete your previous LJ account because you didn't like comments and then turn around and open another one and then be stupid enough to link the very person that pissed you off?
I did refrain from saying anything on Talk about the dual accounts because I know that lyne didn't have a good experience on there. I thought maybe hiding would have a better experience but you can't fake a new identity forever. Eventually, the original one will leak out.
I have a feeling that lyne/hiding doesn't really know how to listen to people very well. She totally took all of Fay's comments the wrong way and she also totally ignored some of mine.
About the story "Danny and Don Buy a House", don't even start that shit with me that nobody read it or liked it. I told you I liked it more than once. I reviewed it, commented on it and you have the nerve to say nobody liked it. It seems you always want to be accepted. How many fucking times do we have to keep doing that?

I also have parental filters so they can't look at certain things. So don't be acting like the "smut" is out there for anybody to read. It's not my problem if some parents either don't care or don't take the time to monitor what their children do on the internet.
If you open up an Eddie thread, that's entirely up to you but I have to ask too..if the Eddie threads die out on Talk (because some people would like some conversation instead of one picture after another) what do you think will happen on an Eddie board? Do you even have a clue why the Eddie threads died out? I'll refrain from saying but I can assure you they are alive and well today.
You wanna know why I prefer slash over het? I'll tell you why but first I must clarify. I don't prefer slash over het. I prefer Danny/Flack and Danny/Speedle over het. For one, there's not much het smut that's any good. Why is DL smut so much better than DF smut? All the DL writers portray Lindsay as nothing more than a slut who is always chasing Danny, always wears a skirt (for easy access), and they always fuck without any protection at all. The only time you'll see DF not using protection is when they are in an established relationship. Besides, I prefer slash over het because I have been married for 17 years, have a very active sex life, and I get all the het smut I want/need just from my own sex life. Can you say that? So, I enjoy reading about Danny/Flack because I love them both and I love them both together. Call them gay all you want, but they're just two guys who happen to be in love with each other.
